There’s been a drowning on Manitoulin Island. An Island resident identified as 41-year-old Ian McCauley is believed to have drowned in Whitefish Lake. McCauley was a resident of the M’Chigeeng First Nation. A post mortem will be carried out to determine the exact cause of death. The OPP and Tribal police are both investigating the incident and a coroner will carry out an autopsy to determine the exact cause of death.
