Trial date expected this week on internet luring case

An Espanola man charged with internet luring involving young boys is headed to trial.  The trial of 44-year-old Paul McColeman is expected to last six weeks and a trial date could be set by the end of this week.

McColeman’s case involves young boys being urged to perform sexual acts on social media in return for drugs and alcohol.  Espanola police say about 20 boys were 12 to 16-years-old when they met the accused on Facebook beginning in 2006.

During this period McColeman used the alias Trebor Boucher on Facebook.  Police discovered what was going on two years ago when an adult told them about the social media activity.
