Council to change meeting start time again

The summer meeting hours for North Bay council are about to change again.  A first switch to start council right after the committee session ends hasn’t worked for Cogeco’s broadcasts.

Councillor Jeff Serran, who proposed the change in the first place, says it’s because Cogeco can’t work the change into its schedule.  Serran says Cogeco broadcasts its news live at 5:30 pm and then re-broadcasts it a half hour later making it impossible to show the start of council which begins at 6:00pm over the summer.

Serran’s revised proposal is to start the combined committee and council meetings at 6:30pm over the summer which should clear the way for the resumption of Cogeco’s council broadcasts.
