Nipissing MPP Vic Fedeli suggests people renew their vehicle licence plate stickers early in advance of an upcoming fee hike.
The cost of licence plate sticker in Northern Ontario is due to go up on September 1st, 2016 to $60, from the present cost of $54. Fedeli says this increase is more than 10 per cent, and well over the cost of inflation.
You are able to renew a licence plate sticker through Service Ontario up to 180 days prior to the sticker’s expiry date. Fedeli added, since 2012 the cost for Northern Ontarians to renew their licence plate stickers has increased over 60 per cent.
