Two residents of North Bay have beenĀ fined a total of $3,200 for possessing undersized walleye from Lake Nipissing.
Richard Reif and Debbie Robinson pleaded guilty to possessing walleye of a prohibited size, and received a $1,600 fine each.
In addition, their fishing licences have been suspended for one year.
Conservation officers contacted Reif and Robinson on March 13th while they were ice fishing on Lake Nipissing, and asked to see what the pair had caught.
Reif and Robinson showed the officers their catch of perch, but when the officers dug a little deeper they found eight undersized walleye.
