Nipissing MPP Vic Fedeli announced $33,000 has been awarded through the Ontario Arts Council to local arts groups.
The North Bay Symphony Orchestra, through the Orchestras Projects program, is getting $20,000 toward its 40th anniversary season of five concerts in 2016-17.
The remaining $13,000 is going to Aanmitaagzi, through the Aboriginal Artists in Communities program, for its Summer Arts Program for Aboriginal youth.
