Tories still blamed for high energy prices

The Liberals continue to claim our high energy prices are due to the degraded generating system they inherited from the 2003 Tories.  This time the statement is from an energy ministry spokesman to the London Free Press.

Nipissing MPP Vic Fedeli says stop listening to their spin because they’re trying to mislead us.  Fedeli says listen to the Auditor General who says the cost to generate power has increased 74 percent over the last 10 years.

Fedeli says that increase is all under the Liberals and a far cry from what we paid for electricity when the P. C.’s were last in power.  He says in 2003 the Liberals inherited a system where electricity was 4.3 cents a kilowatt hour under the Tories but now in rural areas it can cost as much as 26 cents a kilowatt.

Fedeli says the Liberals have no one to blame but themselves.   The Tory finance critic adds by refusing to take responsibility for their actions, the Liberals send a poor message to young people about being responsible.
