A 22-year-old North Bay man is facing assault charges following an altercation that turned violent.
According to police, shortly before 7:00am Wednesday the man punched another man known to him and later hit him with a frying pan. The victim sustained non-life-threatening injuries and was transported to hospital by ambulance.
An investigation into several 9-1-1 calls to police regarding a loud dispute taking place in the unit of an apartment building led to the man’s arrest at police headquarters yesterday afternoon. He’s charged with assault causing bodily harm, assault with a weapon, and breach of undertaking. He was held in custody, pending a bail hearing.
