A 52-year-old North Bay man has been arrested by police for domestic violence following an incident. Police say shortly before 4:00am yesterday, a verbal dispute between the man and his partner in their home turned violent and he began punching her repeatedly.
The investigation revealed the man has a history of violent behaviour; he strangled his partner back in April of this year. It’s also alleged in both assaults, the man prevented his partner from leaving their home afterwards.
She suffered non-life-threatening injuries as a result of the assaults. The man is facing two counts of confinement, and two counts of domestic violence. He was held in custody for a bail hearing.
