EQAO test cancelled after technical difficulties

The Education Quality and Accountability Office has cancelled today’s online Ontario secondary school literacy test. They tweeted out a series of messages, acknowledging they were experiencing widespread technical issues with the online OSSLT network.

Statements have been released from two of the local school boards. The statement released by The Near North Board statement says they are very proud of their students for demonstrating creativity and incredible resiliency today, as well as acknowledging the work done by staff to deal with this.

The statement released by The Nipissing Parry Sound Catholic District School Board says although no problems were experienced with regards to their server capacity or bandwidth, the EQAO acknowledged province-wide technical difficulties stemming from their system, resulting in this cancellation.
