Pink in the Rink another success for breast cancer research

The Canadian Cancer Society announced close to $16,000 was raised from the North Bay Battalion/CAA Pink in the Rink hockey game was held on October 13th. Through fundraising initiatives surrounding the Pink in the Rink game, more than $54,000 has been raised for breast cancer research over the past four years.

Breast cancer is still the most commonly diagnosed cancer and the second leading cause of cancer deaths among women in Canada. The Canadian Cancer Society helps save lives by supporting breast cancer research, education for women, and providing information and support to those who have breast cancer.
