If the Nipissing Lakers men’s hockey team didn’t have bad luck, they wouldn’t have any luck at all. The Lakers put in a solid effort last night, but the visiting Laurentian Voyageurs came out on top beating Nipissing 3-1. Joel Herbert had the lone goal for the Lakers, with Chad Thibodeau and Jimmy McDowell assisting.
The Lakers will look for revenge Friday night when the venue shifts to Sudbury for the second part of the home-and-home series. Laurentian is now up 5-0 in the 705 Challenge Cup between the two teams.
