The North Bay Battalion beat the Hamilton Bulldogs 3-2 Friday night, before dropping a 4-2 decision on Saturday. The spilt has the Troops sitting at 13-11-2; still five points up on the Sudbury Wolves for first place in the Central division.
The weekend came with a potential casualty, a couple of days after backup Matt Woroniuk was injured against Sault Ste Marie starter Brent Moran left the game against Erie and did not return. The banged-up Troops will have to soldier on when they host the Oshawa Generals on Wednesday night.
