Shorthanded Battalion drop another game on home ice

Three straight goals in the third period powered the Oshawa Generals over the North Bay Battalion 5-2 last night. With goalies Brent Moran and Matt Woroniuk out with injuries, it was goaltender Julian Sime’s first OHL game. He allowed 4 goals on 34 shots. Head Coach Stan Butler says he couldn’t fault his new goalie, because he gave them a chance to win.

Kyle Potts and Steve Harland had the Battalion goals in the loss,  Harland leads the Troops in goals with 16. After a hit from behind the third period, forward Jacob Ball was forced to leave the game with an upper body injury. Next up for the Troops is a trip to Sudbury on Friday night for a Central division showdown with the Wolves, where Sime will look for his first OHL victory.
