Chamber of Commerce releases statement on the Dionne Quints Home

The North Bay Chamber of Commerce has finished working with the committee tasked with finding viable options for the Dionne Quints Home. The committee was put together to provide recommendations to the city, as they own and retain all the assets of the historic museum. Recently, the chamber has received several inquiries about the decision involving the Quints historic home. The chamber wants to clarify that the volunteer committee was created to provide feedback and recommendations for the final decision of the home.

Chamber President Jake Lacourse says their mandate is to focus on the four pillars that guide their actions.  He says those are advocacy at all levels of government, growth and economic retention and expansion, connections and networking, and membership value for the over 800 businesses in the region. Lacourse says they hope that the city makes a thoughtful decision knowing that the house and the artefacts have played a vital role in this region’s history. Last year, the Chamber moved to the downtown core to better serve its members, but used to operate the Dionne Quints Museum on behalf of the City of North Bay.
