Several North Bay residents have been impacted after the fire earlier this week at an apartment building on Wyld Street. Eight people have been staying in hotels as a result, with help from the local Red Cross.
The property manager of the building, Paul Lamarche, says it could be at least six months before they could go home. He says they might be better off finding new homes, and to that end he’s started a go-fund-me account to help those affected.
He’s also accepting donations of furniture and cash at his office on Sherbrooke Street.
