A freezing rain warning for the North Bay area has been issued by Environment Canada. Snow is expected to begin this morning, becoming mixed with ice pellets this afternoon. Five to 10 centimetres of snow and ice pellets is expected during the day, before changing to freezing rain early this evening.
The freezing rain will change to rain tomorrow morning as the temperature rises above zero. Due to the impending weather, school buses have been cancelled across the district for today, but schools remain open.
