North Bay Battalion hit the road for crucial three game road trip

The North Bay Battalion embark on a season-high stretch of five straight games on the road, including a three-game road trip through Michigan and Northern Ontario starting tonight. The Troops take on the Flint Firebirds at 7:00pm before visiting the Saginaw Spirit on Saturday night, and then it’s off to Sault Ste. Marie to take on the Greyhounds on Sunday night.

The Battalion sit at 21-31-4 good for 46 points on the season. The Troops are tied with the Ottawa 67’s for the eighth and final playoff spot in the Eastern Conference, two points behind the Niagara IceDogs for seventh place.

The Troops are currently plagued by injuries and suspensions, with Cam Dineen, Riley Bruce, Brett Hargrave, Jacob Ball and Daniil Vertiy all out for sure this weekend. In addition, left wingers Daniel Walker and Max Kislinger are still serving suspensions. The Battalion will have two members of the Powassan Voodoos of the NOJHL along for the trip, with Andy Baker playing the first two games and Eric Nagy playing on Friday.
