Nipissing MPP Vic Fedeli has announced that multiple festivals in the area will be receiving provincial funding through Celebrate Ontario this year.
The recipients include $52,162 for Summer in the Park, $48,548 for the Smoke ‘N’ Spurs Festival and $6,327 for the Powassan Maple Syrup Festival’s 20th Anniversary. This support allows festival and event organizers to enhance their programming, activities and services so they can draw more tourists and create jobs in communities across the province.
Fedeli says he wants to congratulate the three organizations on submitting excellent applications which truly detailed unique Northern tourism experiences. Fedeli concluded by saying these organizations play a paramount role in bringing our communities together and provides us the opportunity to celebrate Canada’s rich culture and heritage.
