OPP in North Bay and Mattawa make arrests

A 55-year-old from Patterson Township has been arrested by the North Bay OPP following an argument. According to police, on March 5th around 4:5pm, police were called to a residence where the man was said to be out of control and causing damage.

Before police arrived, the man took off in a pickup truck, and was found a short time later where he was arrested. He’s facing one count of driving a motor vehicle with over 80 milligrams of alcohol in his blood, one count of mischief causing damage and driving with an open container of alcohol. He’s scheduled to appear in court on March 21st.

The Mattawa OPP has arrested a 33-year-old man, and he’s facing a handful of charges relating to assault. Police say yesterday around 5:30pm they received a call about an intoxicated man who was out of control.

The man is facing four charges, including one count of assault, one count of assaulting a peace officer, one count of resisting a peace officer and uttering threats to cause death or bodily harm. The man will appear before the Mattawa Court of Justice on May 10th.
