The North Bay AAA Trappers lost 3-2 in overtime last night against the Sudbury Nickel Capital Wolves to even the series at two wins apiece.
The Trappers dominated the regulation and overtime periods by outshooting the hosts by a 51-29 margin, but were unable to solve the Sudbury net minder. Joe Whittet and Bailey Chenier had the goals for the Trappers.
The fifth and final game of the Great North Midget league series goes tonight at 7:30pm at Memorial Gardens. The Trappers haven’t won the league championship since 2001.
