May is Community Living Month in Ontario

Throughout the month of May, Community Living North Bay will be celebrating Community Living in Ontario. The official launch will be held during a flag raising ceremony at City Hall starting at 1:30 pm on Monday, May 1st where Mayor Al McDonald will read the proclamation. The St. Joseph-Scollard Hall Marching Band will also be on hand.

Other events happening in May include the Walk & Roll for Awareness; Information Booth at Northgate Shopping Centre; Community Park Clean Up; Community Dance; Community Family Fun Day; Porketta Bingo; Community Garden Day with the Students; Breakfast on Main; Heart and Stroke Big Bike Ride; and more.

Community Living North Bay supports more than 550 people who have intellectual disabilities in the city. They provide direct services and supports to people and families, assisting them to live, work, contribute to and participate effectively in society.
