The Powassan Voodoos dropped their second game of the Dudley-Hewitt Cup 5-2 against the Georgetown Raiders last night, but have secured a berth in the semi-finals anyway. That’s thanks to the Trenton Golden Hawks beating the Dryden GM Ice Dogs 10-4, which bounced the Ice Dogs out of the tournament.
As a result, Georgetown and Powassan square off again tonight at 7:30pm, and the winner will advance to the championship final tomorrow against Trenton. The finals get underway at 7:30pm on Saturday, and the winner of the Dudley-Hewitt Cup will secure a berth in the RBC Cup Canadian Junior A Championship in Cobourg, Ontario later this month.
