Nipissing MPP Vic Fedeli rose in the legislature at Queen’s Park this week to commend some Canadore College students, and recent graduates. Fedeli acknowledged aircraft maintenance students David Gellately and Jason Lawton, who took silver and gold respectively at the Skills Ontario Competition earlier this month.
He also recognized recent film graduates Dale Carrigan and Martin Smith who have both been nominated for the 2017 Northern Ontario Music and Film in Motion film awards. Both of the Canadore graduates are up for the award of Best Director, and Carrigan and Smith have taken home awards from both national and international festivals in the past. Fedeli wished both of them good luck at the awards show on May 27th.
Fedeli says Canadore continues to provide the people of Nipissing, and all of Northern Ontario, with the highest levels of quality programs and student services. He finished by saying it’s wonderful to see success after success at a provincial level coming out of this top-tier educational facility in North Bay.
