Steve Featherstone’s Reptile Show announced as daytime entertainment for Summer in the Park

Steve Featherstone’s Interactive and Educational Reptile Show has been announced as part of the daytime entertainment at the Summer in the Park festival on Saturday August 5th and Sunday August 6th. Organizers say Featherstone helps children of all ages create a lifelong love of nature and animals of all kinds. Colourful snakes of all sizes, turtles and tortoises, crocodilian like alligators and caimans, lizards, arachnids, amphibians and more are part of the show.

SITP committee member Charles Elliott says Featherstone has a way of putting everyone at ease with the animals. Elliott says even folks who are scared of touching a snake or an exotic toad or spider are at ease with the show. He says by the end, everyone wants get that hands on experience, which is pretty awesome.

There will be four 45 minutes show per day hosted on the Canada 150 Stage which will be at the Community Waterfront Park in the heart of the all the Summer in the Park daytime programming. Elliott says it’s a great opportunity for people to learn more about animals and to meet them up and close and personal. He finished by saying this is a show people will want to see again and again, and it’s completely free to the public with no wristbands required.
