As work continues on the Lakeshore Drive overpass, next week the work to fix up the Trout Lake Road Overpass is expected to get started. Traffic will be reduced to two lanes on the overpass, one lane in each direction, for the duration of the project. City officials say the project is scheduled to be completed in November.
Drivers can expect delays, but pedestrians are expected to have access to the multiuse walking path beneath the overpass for the majority of the project. If workers on site determine at any time public safety is at risk, they may close the path and a detour for users will be set up. A city inspector will be onsite for the duration of the project to deal with any issues members of the public may have.
