Construction has started on Highway 11 just south of the Seymour intersection near the Highway 11/17 interchange. Crews are re-paving the northbound and southbound lanes, and all ramps and roadways around the interchanges. Crews will also be replacing culverts in the area. Crossover detours are being built to eliminate traffic while replacements are put in and traffic will be down to a single lane while repairs are happening.
Southbound traffic will be switched onto a lane on the northbound section of the highway as part of the first stage of work. Then the second stage will see northbound traffic diverted onto a lane on the southbound section of the highway later. Traffic access to ramps will be provided at both interchanges, and the work is expected to be completed by November.
