Battalion deal Kislinger to the Flint Firebirds for a pick

Left winger Max Kislinger has been traded by the North Bay Battalion to the Flint Firebirds in exchange for a conditional 15th-round pick in the 2020 OHL Priority Selection. It becomes a sixth-rounder if Kislinger plays a game with Flint.

The Troops hold the seventh overall selection in the Canadian Hockey League Import Draft, which will be used to fill the club’s two-player import quota. With Swedish defenceman Adam Thilander returning for a second season, the team wouldn’t have been able to keep Kislinger. The import draft is scheduled for June 28th.

Kislinger, the 19-year-old native of Germany, scored six goals and added six assists for 12 points in 35 games last season. He had 12 goals and eight assists for 20 points in 68 games as a rookie in 2015-16 after being chosen in the first round, 43rd overall, of the 2015 CHL Import Draft.
