A 41-year-old Powassan man has been arrested by the OPP following a violent incident earlier this week. Police say they executed an arrest warrant at 2:50pm on Tuesday at Main and Clark streets in Powassan. The warrant followed a domestic assault investigation on July 5th.
The man is facing two counts of assault causing bodily harm, two counts of mischief under $5,000, three counts of assault, two counts of aggravated assault, two counts of uttering threats to cause death or bodily harm and aggravated sexual assault.
He’s scheduled to appear in court in North Bay on July 27th. His name was withheld by OPP to protect the identity of the victim.
