It might be the middle of summer, but curling fans in North Bay can bring out their curling gear because this afternoon the Brad Jacobs team drops into town. The team from Sault Ste. Marie is Northern Ontario’s most successful curling team ever, having won Olympic gold, the Brier and a World Championship.
The team is in North Bay displaying their gold medals, signing autographs and having their pictures taken with curling fans. It all takes place at the Northern Credit Union from 3:00pm to 4:00pm. NCU has a two-year sponsorship with Team Jacobs and all summer the players have been visiting communities in Ontario with credit union branches.
