Special Olympics North Bay sent several athletes recently to help represent Northeastern Ontario at the 2017 Peel Provincial Summer Games. They sent 16 athletes in Athletics. Golf, Baseball (Team Almaguin) and Bocce during the games held on July 13th through to the 15th. Athletes returned to North Bay with a total of 31 medals, and Special Olympics reps say fun was had by all athletes and their coaches.
Special Olympics North Bay is also looking for dirty cars to wash on Sunday, August 20th at the Co-Operators on Airport Road. The event runs from 9:00am until 4:00pm, and all the proceeds go to the Special Olympics.
