Check that school bus information, summer’s almost over

Parents and guardians are being asked by administrators at the area school boards and transportation services to verify that all information for students has been properly submitted and double-checked as the school year approaches.

“Due to the dynamic nature of student transportation, school transportation routes may change from year to year, including route numbers, stop locations and times of service. Parents/guardians are responsible for verifying the details for their children, available as of now,” says a school board reminder.

Parents and guardians are asked to check bus information at https://geoquery.npssts.ca/StudentLogin.aspx.

For Student ID, enter the Ontario Education Number (OEN) located on the student’s report card (no spaces or dashes). For home address, enter the street number only (address without the street name or apartment number) and select school and grade from the drop-down menus (letters indicate program, so “F” = French Immersion).

After logging in, the route numbers, stop locations and times of service for that student will appear. If the student is within walking distance to their school, walking directions will be provided, but are not compulsory.

To reach the Nipissing-Parry Sound Student Transportation Services, please call 705-472-8840, write to [email protected], or use the “Write to Us” feature on their Contact page. The transportation service will be available to take telephone calls from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. right up until the start of the school year.
