Butter knife, beer bottle used in domestic attacks, say police

North Bay Police Service (NBPS) officers responded to a call for a domestic disturbance on Delaware Avenue shortly after midnight this morning. Officers investigated and when attempting to arrest a 30-year-old female, police say she resisted arrest.

Police say that the woman, between April and August, twice assaulted the victim “using her hands and feet.” The victim was assaulted, on separate occasions, with a beer bottle and a butter knife, according to the release. The victim was also prevented from leaving while the two engaged in verbal arguments.

Last night, police say that the accused threatened a female at one residence, then visited another residence where she argued with her male partner, and then threatened and assaulted another female.

A search of the accused found that she was in possession of property taken from three individuals, according to police, as well as drugs under the CDSA Schedule 1.
