Tess Richey, missing since early Saturday, found dead in Toronto

A tragic end to the case of a missing woman whose family still lives in North Bay.

Tess Richey, 22, a Toronto woman with ties to North Bay who went missing over the weekend was found dead in downtown Toronto, Wednesday afternoon Toronto police say.

Richey went missing Saturday in the Church Street and Wellesley Street East area around 3:00am and her mother, four sisters, and friends mounted a search after not having contact with her over the weekend.

Toronto Police say a body was discovered in the Church Street and Dundonald Street area Wednesday, not far from where Richey had been last seen by a friend she had been out with Friday night.

Police say the cause of death is unknown and authorities say there was no sign of trauma, and Richey’s death has not been classified as suspicious.

Today would have been Richey’s 23rd birthday.
