North Bay Police officers have arrested a suspect that might be responsible for numerous thefts from vehicles in the area.
They received a tip on Friday from a member of the Street Crime unit that the suspect was on Lakeshore Drive. When officers arrived the man fled on foot.
With help from a tracking dog and local residents, police were able to find the 31-year-old man almost two hours later. He’s been charged with several offences including theft, possession of stolen property, and assaulting police.
