It is the perfect time to introduce a friend to fishing. It’s National Fishing Week, and Canadians coast to coast are allowed to go fishing without a license. It runs from now until July 12th.
Check out regulations on area lakes before heading out. There could be limit on how many fish you can keep and sizes depending on the lake. Those regulations can be found at the Ministry of Natural Resources website: http://www.ontario.ca/document/2015-ontario-fishing-regulations-summary.
Any other time, Canadians between 18 and 64 must buy a valid fishing license to legally fish in Ontario.
