Opponents of the Energy East Pipeline are taking action.
They have put up a billboard along Highway 17, near the Elks Family Park on Trout Lake. The sign says that “Oil and Water Don’t Mix” and asks viewers to visit www.no-energy-east.ca.
With the billboard, the group is hoping to raise awareness about the potential dangers of oil spills. Around 25 people gathered at the site this weekend for the unveiling and a rally. The billboard will be in place for at least 9 months.
