The North Bay OPP will be on the lookout for distracted drivers this Labour Day weekend.
So far this year, 41 deaths have been caused by distracted driving on OPP patrolled roads, which is up 20% from last year. As of September 1st, the fine for distracted driving was raised to $490 and 3-demerit points.
The OPP is asking that people drive responsibly and respect the lives of everyone on the roads this weekend.
