A week full of Francophone celebrations kicks off in North Bay this weekend.
It’s the 53rd annual Carnaval des Compagnons. The opening ceremonies are scheduled for Sunday at Memorial Gardens beginning at 1:00pm. They will be followed with children’s games, a family skate and a supper featuring traditional French-Canadian food.
The week will then be filled with various cultural, artistic and recreational activities to celebrate French language and culture as well as the talent of francophone youth.
