It might look a little different in downtown North Bay come the summer.
City council is considering expanding its sidewalk patio policy. If the bylaw is passed, it would allow downtown businesses to set up sidewalk patios between the May long weekend and Thanksgiving. A patio pilot project was launched by Tiny Italy last summer, and was considered a great success.
The bylaw was passed to the committee stage at council on Monday.
