Monday is Safety Day for the EarlyON Child & Family Centre.
A host of fun and informative activities that highlight safety awareness are lined up from 9 am to 11:30 am in the back parking lot of Memorial Gardens.
Participants include area police, fire and paramedics, school buses, hydro crews and more.
“Safety Day is not just about learning, it’s about having fun while learning,” states a release.
After starting out in the driveway of the centre’s original location on Chippewa Street, officials say Safety Day has expanded significantly since its early beginnings 22 years ago.
They add the spacious area behind the arena allows for more community vendors and ample room to interact and explore a variety of interactive and educational presentations.
