Chamber researching the impact of homelessness, crime, addictions and mental health

Local businesses are being asked about the impact of homelessness, crime, addictions and mental health.

A survey has been launched by the North Bay & District Chamber of Commerce.

Officials are looking to understand the challenges its member businesses and organizations are facing and develop effective strategies to address the issues.

“The insights gained will be shared with local, municipal, and federal government authorities to inform policy decisions and resource allocation,” states a Chamber newsletter. “This information will help us create a comprehensive picture of the current situation in North Bay & District and identify areas where these issues are most prevalent for our members.”

The chamber says identifying information will be redacted unless businesses give permission to include it.

According to its website, the chamber has over 650 members and has been the voice of business in the area for over 125 years.
