The North Bay OPP reports a 23-year-old resident of Aurora is facing several charges, including fleeing from police and impaired driving.
This after Ontario Provincial Police spotted a vehicle traveling about 47 km/h over the speed limit on Highway 11 in the Callander area on Monday.
Police attempted to stop the vehicle but say it fled onto Peever Line.
A short time later, Almaguin OPP were called to a single vehicle crash on Forestry Road in Laurier Township where after an investigation it was discovered it was the same vehicle.
The driver was arrested, issued a 90-day licence suspension and the vehicle was impounded for seven days.
The accused has a July 16 court appearance in North Bay.
