The North Bay & District Chamber of Commerce says it does not provide a list of contacts for sale or distribution.
This after the business group says it’s learned of an email circulating with claims of having the chamber’s contact list for sale.
Officials say if you receive the email flag it as spam and disregard it. They also say do not interact with the email because that will only tell the scammers your email is active.
“Please rest assured that the North Bay & District Chamber of Commerce takes your privacy very seriously and adheres to all Canadian Privacy Laws,” reads an email advisory to members.
The chamber says its members’ information is secure and they have not been compromised.
