One Kids Place (OKP) says its 2nd Annual Meet a Machine Day and Stuck on a Truck fundraiser last weekend were a success.
Officials say over 400 children, community organizations, and machine enthusiasts took in a fun-filled morning of exploration.
Nearly 20 organizations showcased their machines and specialized vehicles at Saturday’s event.
“We are incredibly grateful for the overwhelming community support,” says Katharine Strang, Director of Development and Community Relations. “It is because of the participation of everyone involved that we are able to host such a unique opportunity for our community. We look forward to seeing this event grow even more in the future.”
Over $18,000 was raised through the Stuck on a Truck fundraiser for the One Kids Place Family Support Program (FSP).
The program provides families with financial assistance for equipment and resources where funding and other supports are not available.
