The community’s highest priority medical equipment needs are getting a financial boost.
Over $118,000 was raised in Sunday’s Our Hospital Walk/Run with 485 people taking part in the 18th annual event.
Tammy Morison, North Bay Regional Health Centre Foundation President and CEO says this is the community’s largest annual fundraiser for the health centre.
“We are incredibly grateful for the generosity of sponsors and donors, along with participants and volunteers,” Morison says. “This fundraiser has an impact on its ability to provide exceptional care, close to home. I am humbled by the support of our community.”
Funds raised this year are supporting the upgrade of the health centre’s Nuclear Medicine Department.

They’re used for diagnosing cardiac conditions through Stress Tests, infections, cancer, Alzheimer’s, and Parkinson’s.
