The deadline for families in need to apply for support from the North Bay Santa Fund has been extended.
It’s now this Friday (Dec.6), which is also the day of our radiothon, in support of the Santa Fund.
Those in need can visit Low Income People Involvement at 127 Main Street East to apply.
Officials say they’ve extended the deadline in response to community feedback, to ensure more families have the opportunity to apply for this year’s program.
The fundraising goal is $175,000 with donations being accepted online and in person at Gem Sewing on Worthington Street West.
Volunteers will put together over 400 baskets of groceries with over 1,500 toys on Dec. 22.
They’ll be delivered to families and children in North Bay the next day.
2024 marks the 77th anniversary of the North Bay Santa Fund.
