Update (11:44 pm): Wednesday’s snowsquall warning has been cancelled.
A snow squall warning is in effect for our area.
Environment Canada says snow squalls are bringing heavy snowfall with accumulations of 10 to 25 cm to the North Bay, Powassan and Mattawa area.
Another 30 to 45 cm is possible in West Nipissing.
The weather agency says heavy and blowing snow will cause poor visibility at times, with the snow continuing through this evening.
Officials also say power outages are possible with heavy snow.
Nipissing-Parry Sound Student Transportation Services advises that all school buses across all weather corridors are cancelled Wednesday (Dec. 4) in our area.
Schools remain open.
