With several stat holidays coming up, there are a number of closures over the next week.
Most government offices are closed on Christmas Day, Boxing Day and New Year’s Day.
That includes North Bay City Hall.
The Merrick Landfill will also be closed Dec. 25, and curbside garbage and recycling collection will be delayed one day through the rest of the week.
North Bay Transit buses are not running on Christmas Day and will run on a Sunday service schedule on Boxing Day.
Families First New Year’s Eve is back on Dec. 31 at Memorial Gardens and Thomson Park.
The free event starts at 5 pm and includes skating, button-making, face painting and more.
A fireworks display wraps up the 30th celebration at 9 pm.
Several holiday skating events are also lined up over the next week and are free with a donation to the North Bay Food Bank.
There is a cost if not making a donation.
