Details on Le Carnaval announced

Le Carnaval des Compagnons is back early next month.   

It’s the 62nd event celebrating French-Canadian heritage in the North Bay area.  

The official opening is Feb. 2 at Lee Park with dog sled rides, skating, sliding, a light train, games, the lighting of the symbolic flame, fireworks and more.  

There’s an arts evening, performances, dance party, Boreal Day with a host of activities Feb 8 at the West Ferris Arena and 176 Lakeshore.  

Bonhomme will be unveiled at 3pm with a closing concert that night at the Capitol Centre.  

There are also activities over the next few weeks in the lead up to the main event.
